About
I am an Art Therapy MA graduate from Munster Technological University and also hold an MA in Fine Art from Atlantic Technological University. I have clinical experience in healthcare, education and community settings, supported by long-term placements, supervision, personal therapy and extensive experiential learning in group and individual art processes.
Alongside my therapeutic work, I am a practising artist with a long-standing personal art practice that continues to inform my understanding of symbolic expression, emotional process, and the role of imagery in healing. This lived relationship with art supports the way I hold space for others as they work with their own creative language.
I have worked with children, adolescents and adults, including individuals navigating medical treatment, school-related stress, emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, grief and life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, with roots in neuroscience and psychodynamic theory. I value the relational aspect of art therapy as much as the creative process, and aim to meet each person where they are.
My practice is grounded in professional standards, ethical awareness and reflective learning. I am a registered member of IACAT, engage in ongoing supervision and CPD, and work in line with current Irish child protection and data protection requirements.
I welcome enquiries from individuals, families, schools, healthcare teams, and community organisations who feel art therapy may be supportive.
