Services

I offer one-to-one art therapy for children, adolescents and adults. Sessions blend, regulation techniques and creative exploration with gentle therapeutic dialogue, supporting emotional regulation, self-expression and understanding.

Each session is tailored to the person’s needs and pace, and no art experience is required. Materials are provided for in-person work.

Individual Art Therapy

Abstract geometric artwork with black, white, gray on the left and colorful shapes and spirals on the right, set against a gold background.

I provide both individual and group-based art therapy programmes for schools, community organisations and services that support young people and adults. Groups may focus on themes such as emotional regulation, self-esteem, stress reduction, resilience, adjustment to change or creative expression.

Programmes are developed in collaboration with the organisation to ensure they are appropriate, trauma-informed and supportive of the wider environment.

Organisations & Schools

For individuals who prefer or require remote support, online art therapy offers a flexible alternative. Sessions follow the same therapeutic principles as in-person work, using familiar and accessible art materials found at home.

Online work may be suitable for adolescents and adults who feel comfortable working creatively in their own space.

Online Art Therapy

Art therapy can be helpful for people experiencing:

  • Stress, anxiety or emotional overwhelm

  • Low mood or reduced confidence

  • Difficulties with emotional regulation

  • Family or school-related stress

  • Grief, loss or life transitions

  • Challenges linked to illness, treatment or medical experiences

  • Experiences that feel hard to talk about

  • Trauma or attachment-related difficulties

Areas I Support

My work is trauma-informed and person-centred, drawing on neuroscience, psychodynamic thinking and the therapeutic potential of symbolic expression.

Sessions offer a consistent, safe space where individuals can express themselves freely, explore what arises through imagery and develop emotional insight at a pace that feels right.

How Sessions Work

Initial Contact

You’re welcome to get in touch with questions by email or phone. If you’d like to explore working together, we can arrange a free 30-minute meeting to get to know each other, discuss your needs and expectations, and decide whether art therapy feels like the right fit for you.

There’s no pressure to decide on the spot.

First Sessions

The first one or two sessions focus on settling in, understanding your needs and finding a pace that feels comfortable. There’s no pressure to make art straight away.

Ongoing Work

Sessions take place weekly, fortnightly, or at a pace that feels right for your needs and circumstances. We explore what arises through the artwork, conversation, or whatever emerges naturally in the session. There is no "right" or "wrong" way. Some sessions involve more making, others more talking; both are equally valid.

The Art Work

Artwork created in sessions is stored by the therapist in a secure and confidential space for the duration of therapy. When the work comes to an end, we discuss together what you would like to do with the artwork, whether that’s taking it home, photographing it, leaving it with the therapist, or allowing it to be destroyed. This choice is part of the therapeutic process and can hold meaning in itself.

Check-ins

We review the work together from time to time. For young people, I offer parent/guardian check-ins while maintaining their confidentiality.

Planned Ending

When it feels right to finish, we plan a thoughtful ending to reflect on the work and the changes that have taken place.
